VLSI Workshops are a key element of the VLSI Symposium program and will be held in-person during the VLSI Symposium. The topics and scope of the workshops involve merging research and application, which have not been covered in detail in previous technical programs and could become future areas of the Symposium. There will be a total of 6 Workshops. These Workshops will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026 from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Each Workshop will be 2 hours long and will have 5-6 speakers in each Workshop.

Topics:

  • New materials
  • New process technologies and advanced packaging solutions
  • Advanced circuit design techniques are very encouraged

High-interest subjects examples: 

  • Advanced Logic and Memory Systems
  • Advanced Packaging
  • Device Manufacturability
  • BEOL Transistors
  • Silicon Photonics
  • Reliability
  • Memory and Analog Computing for AI
  • DTCO, Quantum Computing
  • Edge Technologies

Requirements:

  • Complete Workshop Submission Form
  • 1-2 page abstract or full session description for selection committee’s review.
  • Commitment for all speakers to provide pdf presentation (20-25 minutes long) to VLSI by May 19 for inclusion in the OnDemand program.
  • Presenters are encouraged to submit a pre-recorded presentation video (20-25 minutes long) for the OnDemand program
