2026 Spintronics Workshop on LSI

The 2026 Spintronics Workshop on LSI will be held as a satellite workshop of the 2026 VLSI Symposium on VLSI Technology and Circuits. This workshop will highlight emerging spintronics technologies for LSI applications, with a focus on achieving high performance and ultra-low power operation. Invited speakers will present the latest developments, future prospects, and key challenges in this rapidly evolving field.

SSCS Children’s Program

We are excited to announce that SSCS Women in Circuits will be providing child care at VLSI 2026 through KiddieCorp! Our goal is to provide your children with a program they want to attend, while giving you the critical “peace of mind” to attend sessions and events during the 2026 IEEE/JSAP Symposium on VLSI Technology & Circuits. KiddieCorp is in its thirty-ninth year of providing high-quality children’s programs and youth services to conventions, trade shows, and special events. We take caring for your children very seriously. KiddieCorp has enjoyed a long-time partnership with the American Academy of Pediatrics, which has helped to establish KiddieCorp as a premier provider of event children’s program services.

The program is for children ages 6 months through 12 years old. KiddieCorp will offer child care services from June 15-18, 2026, at Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu, HI, USA.

The cost for the children’s program is $5.00 per hour, per child for SSCS members and $10.00 per hour, per child for non-SCCS members. Children must be registered for a minimum of 2 consecutive hours per child per day.

PLEASE NOTE: VLSI does not allow children in the conference sessions or lobby spaces. You must arrange childcare for all hours you expect to be in the VLSI conference areas at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

The hours for Childcare will be:

Monday                June 15                 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Tuesday               June 16                 7:30 AM to 6:15 PM

Wednesday      June 17                 7:30 AM to 6:15 PM

Thursday             June 18                 8:00 AM to 6:15 PM

The SSCS Young Professionals Mentoring and Networking Event is a great place to meet new people and get advice from leading industry experts and professors. If you are interested in getting mentoring advice, or if you are a more senior engineer willing to give advice, this is a great place to start! This event is open to all conference attendees, where you can ask questions in a relaxed atmosphere. Refreshments and light snacks will be included at this event.

Applied Materials Panel Discussion during VLSI 2026

Applied Materials will host its inaugural panel discussion during VLSI, taking place on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu. This panel will convene leaders across the ecosystem to explore this year’s theme, “What Limits Compute and What Breaks Those Limits.” As AI workloads rapidly diversify, the discussion will examine the emerging physical, architectural, and manufacturing constraints on compute and storage—and how system architectures, logic and memory technologies, advanced packaging, and co‑optimized manufacturing must evolve to unlock the next wave of AI‑driven compute.
