Welcome to the 2027 Symposium on VLSI Technology and Circuits! The symposium will be held from Sunday, June 20 to Thursday, June 24, 2027, at the Rihga Royal Hotel Kyoto in Japan. The 2027 symposium is planned as a fully in-person event, with on-demand access to technical papers available after the meeting.
The Symposium on VLSI Technology and Circuits is a unique, world-premier international conference on semiconductor integrated circuits and microelectronics, covering the full spectrum from materials, processes, and devices to circuits, architectures, packaging, systems, and the intelligence they enable.
The theme of the 2027 VLSI Symposium is “From Atoms to Intelligence – VLSI Empowering Society.” This theme reflects the end-to-end value chain that the conference explores: from the atomic-scale materials and processes that form the basis of devices, through circuits, architecture, packaging, and systems, to the intelligence that all of these layers ultimately enable. Each layer of VLSI innovation builds upon the others, and together they create value far beyond the chip.
In response to the rapidly expanding demand for semiconductors and the growing power constraints of AI processing, the community is actively exploring next-generation technologies and circuits, including 3D integration, new materials, novel device principles, and new architectures. These advances form the foundation of the intelligent technologies that are transforming society.
In line with the symposium theme, we have prepared an attractive program featuring plenary talks, panel discussions, focus sessions, short courses, and workshops.
We invite you and your colleagues to submit contributed papers covering a broad range of topics in the VLSI field by January 25, 2027.
Once again, we look forward to welcoming you to beautiful Kyoto, home to seventeen historical sites registered as UNESCO World Heritage properties.
